Troubleshooting: Email

Problem: Selecting the E-mail icon in iMIS prompts you to choose a profile.

Solution: A profile is a group of settings that define how your e-mail is set up for a particular user. If you get this message, choose a profile by typing in your profile name or selecting your name from a drop-down list. If you do not have profiles set properly, go back to your e-mail program and configure the profiles properly.

Problem: Multiple e-mail programs conflict with each other.

Solution: It is best not to have multiple e-mail programs loaded at one time. Uninstall the program(s) you are not using.

Problem: MAPI32.DLL was overwritten when a new software package was installed.

Solution: This is a common problem and often happens when installing any type of software, not just e-mail programs. After installing the software product, reinstall your e-mail program in order to reinstall the e-mail version of the MAPI32.DLL. This problem often occurs when using the GroupWise e-mail program. After installing any software product, reinstall the GroupWise e-mail program.
