Program Options menu
Description
Select this menu item to open the Program Description window where you can enter detailed information about the program. The Program Description user-defined fields added on the Set up certification module window display in the window.
Coordinators
Select this menu item to open the Program Coordinators window to record the names of the contacts responsible for the administration of the program.
Notes
Select this menu item to open the Program Notes window. This window contains a large free-form text area to add incidental program information and user-defined fields created on the Set up certification module window.
Prereq's
Select this menu item to open the Program Prerequisites window where you specify program prerequisites.
Roster
Select this menu item to display a list of students registered for the selected program by Enrolled, Passed or Failed status types.
To enter program descriptions
- From Certification, select Set up programs to open the Set up programs window.
- Double-click a program. The Set up programs - Program definition window opens.
- Click Edit.
- Click Options and select Description from the drop-down list. The Program Description window opens.
- Enter additional program information in the note area of the window.
- (optional) Enter the appropriate information in the User Defined Fields.
- Click OK to save the information and return to the Set up programs window.
- Click Save.
Note: Use the Program Description window for inquiries about additional program information.
To enter coordinator information
- From Certification, select Set up programs to open the Set up programs window.
- Double-click a program to open the Set up programs window.
- Click Edit at the top of the Set up programs window.
- Click Options and select Coordinators from the drop-down list. The Program Coordinators window opens.
- Enter the coordinator information.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
To enter program notes
The Program Notes window provides you with a large text area to enter incidental information about the program. The Designation fields you specify on the Set up certification module window display in this window.
- From Certification, select Set up programs. The Set up programs window opens.
- Double-click a program to open a second Set up programs window.
- Click Edit.
- Click Options and select Notes. The Program Notes window opens.
- Enter informational notes to be maintained for the program.
- Enter the acronym for the designation in the user-defined field. This is the user-defined field created on the Set up certification module window.
- Click OK to save the information and return to the Set up programs window.
- Click Save.
To enter program prerequisites
In the Program Prerequisites window, enter the requirements a student must meet to enroll in this program. This field is not validated before you enroll a student in a program; therefore, make sure to check the prerequisites before enrolling the student.
- From Certification, select Set up programs to open the Set up programs window.
- Double-click a program to open a second Set up programs window.
- Click Edit.
- Click Options and select Prereq's from the drop-down list. The Program Prerequisites window opens.
- Enter the program prerequisite information in the large note area of the window.
- Click OK to return to the Set up programs window.
- Click Save.
To view a program roster
After you register a student for a program or any of its components, you can view a program roster. A list of students currently enrolled in a program and a list of students who have already passed or failed the certification program display on the Program Roster window.
- From Certification, select Set up programs to open the Set up programs window.
- Double-click a program to open a second Set up programs window.
- Click Options and select Roster. The Program Roster window displays a list of students registered for the selected program.
- Click OK to return to the Set up programs window.
