Customer Setup - Access Keys window
This window defines access keys that an administrator can assign to selected iMIS users for authorizing them to view and edit customer information such as fundraising or financials.
Note: Prior to selecting these Access Keys, an administrator must set ACCESS_KEYWORDS in Customers > Set up tables > General lookup/validation.
Note: After you assign the access keywords in this window, users cannot edit certain areas of customer data unless the user has been assigned at least one of the access keywords through the Customers > Set up module > General > Access Keys area.
Note: The authorization limit views in iMIS only, these access keys do not authorize or limit direct access to the database.
Name Record Data Access keywords
This area specifies access for financials, addresses, status, and whether the user can import activities.
- Name Financials Edit - When you assign an access keyword here, the user cannot edit customer financial data.
- Name Addresses Edit - When you assign an access keyword here, the user cannot edit customer addresses.
- Name Status Edit - When you assign an access keyword here, the user cannot edit customer status data.
- Import Activities - Limits access to activity import functions but only if other prerequisites are in place. Access controls whether the Input from Query and Transformation Query fields on the Import activities window are enabled.
- Name Internet Security Data - Limits access for changing passwords or revoking access.
This area specifies access for fundraising information on individuals.
- Fundraising History View - When you assign an access keyword here, the user does not see a Fundraising tab on the Customer tab.
