Field syntax

When you enter data in a field, use the following form: Table_Name.FIELD_NAME

You must prefix the field name with the name of the table that maintains it, separated by a period. Capitalization is Caution! You must enter the table name with the first letter of each word capitalized, and the field all capitalized.

Note: Do not enter any spaces. Instead, enter underscores Shift+_ in place of spaces, for example, FULL_NAME.

Note: For example, reference the first name, last name, and system-maintained full-name fields in the Orders (event registration) table as follows:

• For the first name, use: Orders.FIRST_NAME
• For the last name, use: Orders.LAST_NAME
• For the full name, use: Orders.FULL_NAME
