Linking event functions
The Links option enables you to associate a primary (parent) event function to secondary (child) event functions. When a registrant registers for the primary event function, iMIS automatically registers the registrant for all secondary functions that are linked to the primary function.
Linking event functions is a shortcut for data entry. If you clear the primary function, then iMIS leaves the linked function(s) selected (that is, selecting the parent also selects the children, but clearing the parent affects only the parent).
You have the option of individually selecting and clearing linked functions at any point during the event registration process. However, if you have no cost associated with an optional child function, such as a banquet that does not have an additional cost, you should set up the child function to be complimentary (with pricing) so that your headcount is accurate even when you remove someone from a parent function registration list.
Note: The linking feature does not affect pricing or complimentary functions.
