Help Site Overview

This overview is a guide on how to navigate the help site and use its resources effectively.

Finding your help site

Visit help.imis.com to find the help site for your version of iMIS.

Tip! To find your iMIS product version, go to Settings > About iMIS.

Select your version to access the help site:

  • Enterprise - Product version beginning with 20.3.
  • iMIS 100 - Product version beginning with 100.3.
  • 2017 - Product version beginning with 20.2.65.
  • SDK - For EMS, iMIS 100, and iMIS 2017.

Once you select your help site, use the side navigation or the search to find documentation related to the topic you are looking for.

Navigating the help site

The help site navigation is organized to mirror the iMIS navigation. Articles are organized by iMIS module. Select the module you are working in to look through its related articles.

Searching for articles

The search bar is located in the upper-righthand corner of the site.

Enter a word or phrase into the search bar to find related documentation. For optimal search results, consider the following:

  • Quotations – Enclose a phrase in quotation marks (e.g., “Content records”) to only search for articles containing the full phrase.

  • Filters – Apply a filter to only search articles related to the filter topic.

Once you select an article from the search results, every instance of the search term is highlighted in the article.

To remove the highlights, click the Remove Highlights button at the top of the article.

Article features

At the top of every article is a toolbar that contains the following options:

  • Print – Print or save the article as a PDF.
  • Expand/Collapse all – Expand or collapse all drop-down content within the article.
  • Remove Highlights – Remove highlights from search terms.

Articles with related videos or training courses have additional options below the title:

  • Quick Tutorial/Related videos – Takes you to the end of the article, where any relevant videos are embedded. For more information, see Video tutorials.
  • Full training/Training course – Takes you to the related Learning Hub training course.

Our video tutorials provide quick demonstrations of the processes documented throughout the site.

As mentioned, these tutorials can be found in articles containing the Quick Tutorial or Related videos buttons. These buttons take you to the end of the article, where any relevant videos are embedded.

Browse our full library of video tutorials from the Videos navigation item. The iMIS Video Tutorials landing page displays the available video libraries.

The libraries are organized by iMIS module. Select a library to look through all the videos related to that module.
