RiSE Settings: Email settings

Go to Settings > RiSE > Email settings to configure the following settings:

  • SMTP Host - The domain name of your organization’s SMTP server.
  • Note: When upgrading from previous versions of iMIS, the SMTP Host value defaults to the SMTP server (<network host>) value configured in the web.config files. For new installations, the SMTP Host value must be populated. Contact ASI Hosting for assistance with defining the name of your organization’s SMTP server.

  • Port - Specifies the port used for SMTP transactions. The default is 25.
  • Note: For new installations, the Port value must be populated. Contact ASI Hosting for assistance with defining the port used for SMTP transactions.

  • User Name - The user name to be used to access the SMTP Host.
  • Password - The password to be used to access the SMTP Host.
  • Note: There are two types of credentials that are accepted for SMTP: Default and Network. If a User Name and Password are supplied, it is assumed that the credential type required for the SMTP Host is Network. If the User Name and Password are not supplied, then the credential type defaults to Default credential mode.

  • Enable SSL - Select this option to enable SSL security on your communications.
  • Do not send SMTP emails (This will disable all emails other than Advanced Email and should only be used while testing the system) - Enable this option to prevent SMTP emails from being sent. Use this option while you are setting up and testing your email configuration.
  • Note: Communications sent using communication templates will still be logged.
