Vantiv/WorldPay

Vantiv/WorldPay is based in the United States and is available to Canadian and United States customers.

Note: In order to use Vantiv/WorldPay you must have a license key. Contact ASI for more information.

The Vantiv/WorldPay gateway can be used for:

  • Credit card (Canada, United States):
    • non-recurring transactions
    • recurring membership
    • recurring donation
  • Direct debit (Canada, United States):
    • recurring membership
    • recurring donation

Note: Vantiv/WorldPay is not available for transactions through the Advanced Accounting Console.

Note: The Vantiv/WorldPay payment gateway offers an optional Account Updater product that can push updated customer payment card information to iMIS. The optional Account Updater can help customers avoid declined payments due to outdated payment details, for example, the expiration date of a credit card. Contact Vantiv/WorldPay for more information.

Before you go live with card authorization, you must complete these implementation steps and checks. You will need a merchant account with Vantiv/WorldPay. Contact Vantiv/WorldPay directly to set up your merchant account.

  1. Apply for a merchant bank account at a financial institution.
  2. Register with the Vantiv/WorldPay card authorization gateway.
  3. Verify your registration setup. This will be a notification from Vantiv/WorldPay.
  4. Add your gateway in iMIS.
  5. Associate an authorization account with a credit/debit card cash account code.
  6. The default currency code must be specified in order for iMIS to pass the correct currency values to the gateway. See Default currency code used by RiSE components for more information.
  7. Submit and review test transactions.
  8. The acquiring financial institution approves the application and notifies the authorization gateway.
  9. Switch from test mode to live mode.
