Task templates

Templates are used to save mappings that are used frequently. The following outlines examples of how to create and use templates, when to use templates, categories of templates, and best practices.

Creating a template

On the Mapping screen, there will be an option to Save Mapping. This will save your current mapping as a template.

Do the following to save a mapping as a template:

  1. Click Save Mapping
  2. Give a name to the mapping Template.
  3. Give your Template a description (optional).
  4. You can preview your Template by clicking the eye icon.
  5. Save your commonly used mappings to use later.

Loading a template

The mapping screen will also have an option to Load Mapping. This will load a previously saved mapping template.

Do the following to load a template:

  1. Click Load Mapping
  2. Click the eye icon to preview your template.
  3. Select the template you want to reuse.

Template use cases

Templates have many possible uses, but here are a few of the recommended ways to do so.

  • Repeatable Tasks. If you have tasks that are done repeatedly, templates are helpful.
  • Enabling Staff Members. Creating templates allows you to delegate tasks to other staff members with peace of mind that their mappings are corrected.
  • Ad hoc Processes. For one-time tasks you’d like to run on an ad hoc basis, a template can ensure the same data decisions are made every time.
