Creating a new order

As a staff user, you can create a new order on behalf of a contact. Alternatively, contacts can create their own orders if you offer a public online store.

Do the following to create an order on behalf of a contact:

  1. Click the On Behalf Of icon.
  2. Search for and select the contact.
  3. Go to Commerce > Find products.
  4. Search for and select the product.
  5. Click Add to Cart.
  6. Click Proceed to Checkout.
  7. Enter the Payment details, or choose Pay Later to create an open invoice for the contact to pay later.
  8. Click Submit Order.
  9. Go to Commerce > Find orders.
  10. Enter a search filter, then click Find.
  11. Select the Order Number.
