Websites and account pages testing

Test and review the following items related to public websites and account pages.

Websites

Important! In iMIS EMS, you cannot edit the .master file. Any changes to the master page (template) must be performed through RiSE's Theme Builder (RiSE > Theme Builder > Website templates). It is recommended that you start with a copy of one of the out-of-the-box templates, then modify the copy. See Modifying the master page.

Reviewing the public websites

In this section, use the following questions as prompts to begin identifying potential issues with your public websites.

  1. Navigate to the public website:
    1. From the username drop-down, select one of the public websites
  2. Does the public-facing website look correct? If there are issues with the primary navigation, review the following article: Changes to CSS classes and primary navigation require updates to custom theme files
  3. Are there broken images or links?
  4. Does the theme look correct?
  5. Does the template look correct? See Modifying the master page.
  6. If you are using translation, is the website still translating?
  7. Test the site's search. Does the search return the correct information?
  8. If you have custom content items, are they still properly working?
  9. Can you add, edit, and publish new content?
  10. Does the Staff site theme look correct? If the icons are broken, see Updating custom system icons.
