Social Profile List Creator
The Social Profile List Creator content item displays the social network profiles for an individual user as an icon link list. Clicking on an individual social network icon will open the user's profile page for that network in another browser window. Mousing over the individual icon will display the URL of the user’s profile page in a tooltip.
You can use the Social Profile List Creator content item to provide a way for members to display their social network profiles in the context of their own personal account pages or on public profile pages. You can also do this for companies and their social network profiles. When visitors click on the icons, they are taken to the site of the social network profile that the user has defined.
The configuration option Message when no social profiles are defined allows you to define a message that will be displayed if no results are returned. If this field is blank, no message is displayed to the user when there are no results.
To define the social network profile URLs for your own account page, click on the edit icon next to the content item and enter the full URLs for each network. For example:
- Facebook URL: https://www.facebook.com/<profilename>
- Instagram URL: https://www.instagram.com/<profilename>
- LinkedIn URL: https://www.linkedin.com/in/<profilename> (individual), or https://www.linkedin.com/company/<companyprofilename> (company)
- Medium URL: https://www.medium.com/<profilename>
- TikTok URL: https://www.tiktok.com/<profilename>
- X URL: https://www.x.com/<profilename>
- YouTube URL: https://www.youtube.com/<profilename>
Note: The LinkedIn public profile link is no longer self-populating.
Note: The www.twitter.com domain remains an accepted domain.
Note: The Social network connections links are displayed only for the user connected to iMIS through a social media profile. Other users will only see the Public profile links.
For example, if John Tan is logged in to iMIS using his Facebook account, John can see his Facebook account listed under Social network connections with an option to Disconnect. If Brian Murphy (system administrator) reviews John Tan's account page, Brian will only be able to see the Public profile links.
